 Joey & Maria's Comedy Wedding is a wildly funny, interactive show that invites you and your audience to be the guests at an anything-but-traditional wedding.

You'll dance, You'll sing, You'll eat and drink, But mostly, You'll laugh yourselves silly with two of the craziest Italian families this side of Little Italy. Simply pick the day, the time and the location. We'll take care of the rest.

Since March of 1997, Joey & Maria's Comedy Wedding  has been thrilling audiences throughout New York State including Amsterdam, Long Island, Rochester, Auburn, Syracuse, Buffalo, and Utica - and more!  Presented by
Great Lakes Productions, this audience-participation filled show blurs the boundaries between fantasy and reality!

First, you are introduced to the "loving couple" as the bride and groom join hands at the alter. The ceremony is full of one liners you'll want to remember to share with your friends! You may hear a "forget about it" or a "youz guys" as Joey and Maria exchange their vows.

Then throughout the reception, Joey and Maria and their families will come to your table to greet and gossip with their new friends! Moma Nona might squeeze your cheek, then talk about everyone in the old neighborhood. Everyone gets wrapped up in the play's plot which involves Joey's jealous exgirlfriend, Viola Vermicelli and seems to eventually dance with Tina Tubbettini, the bridesmaid that's had a few too many!

The audience is encouraged to participate while the cast sits at tables, flirts, discos on the dance floor, truly turning the event into the best wedding you have ever attended!

How'z it work?
Simply pick the day, the time and the location. We'll take care of the rest. Whether our wedding is the main attraction or part of a larger event, we can customize the event to make it your most unique and enjoyable function yet.

A complete Entertainment Package...
Joey and Maria's Comedy Wedding is a complete event package. We'll provide the hilarious wedding ceremony, a scripted but ever changing reception and plenty of great music everyone will enjoy dancing to.

You Choose the Place. . .
The event can be held at any facility you choose that can accommodate the show's cast and your guests. We would be happy to work closely with you to plan the most memorable event that your group has ever seen!

The Menu...
What's an Italian wedding reception without lots of delicious food? Choose dinner, lunch, or brunch. We'll work within any budget, large or small. It's up to you!

The Time...
Scheduling your event is easy. It can be held any day of the week, afternoons or evenings. The performances run approximately 3 hours. If you like, you may schedule a special presentation or activity prior to or following the performance. (All reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis.)

What actually happens during the show, and when?
(Please keep In mind that we can customize the format of the show to suit any of your needs.) The following is a traditional run down of events using 8:00 p.m. as the show time and 7:00 p.m. is the cocktail hour. THIS IS NOT THE TIMING FOR ALL SHOWS.

• 5:00 p.m. A representative/DJ from the show arrives to set up.
• 6:00 to 6:30 p.m. Actors arrive, dress and prepare for the show.
• 7:00 to 7:45 p.m. Cocktail Hour - Our disc jockey will play music, entertaining guests as they arrive.
• 7:45 to 8:00 p.m. A few of the characters will enter the room to "warm up" the audience.
• 8:00 to 8:20 p.m. The bridal procession begins, the ceremony is performed and the cast exits the room.
• 8:22 p.m. The bridal party is introduced while re-entering the room and take their seats at the head table.
• 8:25 p.m. The pastor says grace, the best man proposes a toast and then dinner is usually served.

The rest of the night continues as if it were a real wedding. We cut the cake, dance like chickens and throw the bouquet.

There are many scripted surprises as well as improvised moments that will occur. The actors mingle and dance with the guests while going from table to table, because after all, this IS one big happy family!
